National Day 2009

i mean Singapore's National Day. it is my 2nd time and probably my last time celebrating SG's National Day in US Arizona. though it was not on the actual day (7 Aug 2009 US time), we had quite a eventful and memorable celebration.

We, the wives of Sg, were invited (on a volunteering basis of cuz) to prepare a dish for the event. We have chinese, malay, indian and international cusine stalls selling the food tat all of us cooked. as for the "monies" to buy, it is a ticket tat the guys had bought in advance and it serves as a lucky draw coupon too. the most impt and meaningful thing is, all proceeds (i believe) will go to charity!!! :)

i love charity! not my first time cooking in bulk for charity. had taken part earlier on to cook for the sick and their families recuperating at Ronald McDonald's house... this time for NDP, i wanted to cook something "homely", so i've prepared a good 4 pounds of cereal prawns!!



Got a cert from SRO!!! so happy!!! Though we are all feeling awkard when we were addressed as "Mdm XXXXXX"!!! pengz!!!! makes us sounds so old!!! hahaa... i was whispering "Miss Miss, Call me MISS!".. the very humourous SRO heard me and told me "ok la, MISS LINDA" hahahaa...



took some pics with peiying and jm, a pity tat jer and ming sao was away in NY for vacation... else i believe, the pics will b more red or "RAD"...

i disagree with the pics, cuz it makes me look fat due to the turtle neck thingy... but in actual fact (i meant really from wad i heard), tat i looked slimmer! argh!!!
