2nd Trip - California (San Diego)

I love the sales in US... cuz they really mean sales....

During their Labour Day (theirs is on 01 Sep), we arranged a trip to California San Diego over the long weekend.

Similiar like last time to Sedona, we rented a mini-van, drove up... and we took ard 5++hrs this time!!! its getting further... haha..

Our itinerary
1st Day - Legoland, Shopping!!!

2nd Day - Seaworld, Hardrock Cafe!!!

3rd Day - US Midway, Shopping!!!

haha.. seems tat most of our time is shopping!

Conclusion after the tour: Legoland is more for kids as most of its human-sized (or bigger) figures are made of Lego! like the miniland... all made of lego and looks so real! Due to the long wkend, all games and rides are crowded with pple!!! The weather is supposed to be cooling (18-24 degree celsius) but the sun is still going strong! So we do not have the patience in queuqing and just take the pics.... we had lunch in there... super duper ex!!! then we decided not to waste time further... we straight cheong to factory outlets! hehe...

bought some coach...really cheap!!! sales... i love it!!! this is wad monkey bought for me.. hehe


For seaworld, i think its where we had the most fun! Dolphins, whales, sea-lions... the shows... haha... all very nice!!! and most impt, the entry is free!!! why??? becuz of the saluteheros thingy.. military personnels are highly regarded here... hehe.. we spend the day there till 8pm ++ cuz we were hungry le.... regretted didn't plan a 2day trip for it.. cuz catching the shows already took most of our time... really too many to see!!!

And we had a nice catch! we went to the arcade... monkey played basketball and won a BIG DOLPHIN for me!!! haha... the dolphin is oni abit shorter than me... human-sized!!! omg.... it is even bigger than issac's strolley..

haha... then we went to hardrock cafe in the town for dinner... on the way out from seaworld... we can still see the fireworks that they played every finale...

Third day at US Midway, it is a retired BIG ship (or is there another term other than ship?) that used to participate in wars and to transport the fighter planes.. the guys like it.. while my heart is at shopping... haha

We also play the stimulator fighter plane... FUN!!! haha... good thing tat both monkey and me are not pilots... else tats it!!! our rotating and direction controlling.. even francis see already (there is another tv outside for others to see wad we are flying) oso laugh and shake head...

THEN, most imptly, we went to another mall of factory outlets (Desert Hills) on the way back... monkey bought alot of shirts! hmm... maybe becuz they didn't sell bananas.. haha... i bought oni a gap shirt and kate spade... hehe... its really cheap!!!!

Really enjoyed this trip... but i came back with really a terrible sunburn!

1st Trip - Sedona

The first friday that i've reached US.... is their Independance Day (04 Jul 08) !!!!

So monkey had arranged a short trip to go Sedona... where and what is Sedona? Its well known for its red rocks... and it resides in Arizona.... but from our side travel to Sedona, which is still within Arizona, it already took a 2hrs++!!!! Can u imagine how big is US?

We set off early.. think 7am... so that we can go shopping later... hehe..

Took alot of pics... so.. hehe.. used slideshow again...

After seeing the rocks... we went to a outlet mall called "The Anthem"... wow!!! alot of factory outlets.. bought hehe.... some quik silver bikinis, sunglasses.. and wad else? i seriously forgot!!! tat the prob with backdated blogging... its oni 2mths++! i m getting old!

oni after we came back, then i realised if we go further up by 2hrs... we wld have reached Grand Canyon! Pengz.... poor planning... but i still new la.. and not i plan... i still jet lag.. haha.. nvm... we always got chance to go... heard tat Grand Canyon looks diff on diff seasons! wow.... i m looking forward...

as tat day is Independance Day, alot of restaurants (even mac!) were closed early for celebration... so we roamed till 8plus pm then had our dinner at Waffle House.... NICE! Of cuz.... they served waffles.... hashbrowns... btw, their hashbrowns is like rosti from mache!

Anyway.... 9+pm all dried and tired... so we ended our trip...

but heard got fireworks... we can hear the "pop" sound but cannot see.... why? cuz its cloudy! gonna rain soon!!! but...still alot of americans stand outside, trying to see the fireworks, outside the Waffle House... outside the apartments oso... see groups of them staring at the sky... then we understand why.. becuz they hardly see fireworks.. in sg... we can see alot... CNY, NDP and sometimes fireworks competition! aww.. miss sg....

ooops.... long promised post....

here are some pics of my home in US..... realised there are a few... dun wanna depend on the laggy blogspot.. so i used the slides instead...

some of the pics are already posted in my friendster and facebook... some are taken after i moved in... and as u can see.... i messed the house pretty well... haha... but i like the way ang mohs work.... all fully furnished... with sofa, tables, washing machines, dryers, fridge, over, microwave, stove, bathroom and even lights!

Its only after a few mths... that i realised that the black case here.... is the dish washer!!!! pengz... i used to wonder why the ang mohs have 2 ovens.... thought they like to bake cake soo much.. haha

my house is not too big... but neither small... its the size of a HDB 3-rm flat but with oni 1 bed-room... so big anot? for oni 2 adults... its ok...

very happy.... the moment i stepped in this apartment... monkey gave me a surprise welcome gift....

though its not the lastest design... but i think the surprise is more precious than the gift itself... well... my monkey is not too woody afterall!
