Fishing and Relax Day (22 Feb 09)

It was a lazy sunday.

woke up late enuff to miss shopping. hahaa... so we went fishing as Chua had jioed.

Other than a fishing net, we brought nothing and noe nothing! I only had memories fishing with my Grandfather at changi... how i miss him...

Met up with Chua, he brought us to this residential area which to my surprise, there is a beautiful lake for fishing... here fishing needs licence one leh.. didn't noe tat hengz they applied..

My another surprise! Can u see that? Parking own boat right infront of their house!!!! I can nv ever do this in singapore, except Sentosa cove which i cannot afford even if i pawn myself plus monkey. haha

its so relaxing here.... the gentle breeze, the palm trees... its beri family oriented here... i can already paint a pic of families gathering here for fishing every wkend...

its so near our house yet, if Chua nv bring us, we oso dunno theres such a nice lake...

Since i can't afford sentosa cove.... at least i experienced it once! in US.

This fish is still flapping, alive and kicking when caught with the rubber bait (so many fishes here, dun need live bait sia...)

Its so relaxing.... everyone busying fishing... while i busying taking pic and fill in the story...

Caught a fish? no.. its "chunkok".. meaning bait lost cuz stuck in the rocks in the lake... ooops...

This is wad monkey caught really... dun be mislead by the big rubber bait.. he actually caught one small tiny little seashell!!! hahaaa

Then we called it a day, tabao churches chicken since no catch and went Chua's hse. Elaine had prepared prawn mee for dinner. yummy!!!

Then we jioed merry over. hahaaa... play mj!!!

Monkey wasn't bored oso.. he was busy with Chua's xBox... pengz....

nx time i wanna go fishing again... lets buy a fishing rod.. and maybe bring my money & sucker some companion... haha

Aerith's 4th Mth and JM's Bdae Celebration

Its 17 Feb 2009.

A day of 1 celebration and 1 ceremony.

Ceremony is for Aerith (aka alibu)'s 4th mth old. To signify that she can officially start eating solid (semi) food in her life.

Look at how many adults preparing how much food for this ceremony. Heard from alibu's mum said tat she woke up 6am just to prepare the food... and the food is like for the whole village one lor!!!

We helped mould the ang ku kueh oso... so many laughters and blessings in the ang ku kueh man.... oh.. i cooked my lotus pork rib soup, new speciality honey walnut shrimps and bubble tea. But hor.. the walnuts hor.. hmm... forget it ba....

I dunno wads the ceremony called in hokkien. but rubbing the drumstick signifies the start tat she can eat ... wa laoz.. this alibu ar... 4mths oni.... see the big diff in size? hahaa... the pic of me carrying a baby is the same alibu in her few days old in this world... compare the one she eating the drumstick in 4mths old... haha

At night, we had this special order Choc Mint ice cream cake from coldstone as requested by the bdae gal jm. lily beri bad.. said it tastes like colgate... but its nice leh..

The hubbies (except si monkey, ARGH!!!) are away for detachment so we celebrate together lor... no lonely bdaes.... this pic.... baby jayden seems to electrocute alibu... ooops...

Food!

I was munching the famous honey walnut shrimps at Tasty Kitchen with monkey. Was telling him how much i love this dish and is so afraid tat i can't get it in Sg.....

So... i went online and search for the recipe and mess around in my own kitchen (involves deep frying.. scare scare)... and tada!

My first attempt of honey walnut shrimp without the walnut! taste exactly as nice! just tat the shrimps i used is frozen one and is smaller so 1 bite finish 1 prawn liao.. nx time i will use bigger one...

You think i can oni cook or eat outside.... well..... i think i m beri blessed to have many good cooks ard oso.... Sheena send her messenger to my house to deliver her home-made tau-suan!!!!!!!!! Long time nv eat you tiao liao.... sobz...

Dun only think pple living near me will bring me food hor.... its raining heavily one day and suddenly polly run run run and come knocking hard on my door.. to deliver me these bak zhangs by her mum who just came back from LV... sobz sobz... touched leh!!!

come back LV nv rest start cooking liao, rain heavy heavy oso got delivery..... wabiang... the efforts for these zhangs ar.... are greater than those bought from Sg market.....

I happily stay at home aka my "jail" i oso got free food leh... how not to grow fat?

President Day Shopping - Happening!!!

Its President Day in US! In celebration for US 44th President.... there is sooo many ongoing sales....

i pang seh monkey cuz he wanna go play bball.. so lily drove the wives and babies to Anthem while smk is napping at home...haha.... he asked me to go ahead one... not i bully him ar...

Bought a Ralph Lauren Tee for my mil and a small baby polo tee for my mama's neighbour's son... ya... neighour's son i oso need to help to buy... cuz mama complaining sg things beri exp.... anyway... its on sale la... nvm....


Gap oso having sales. Hema beri power. got alot of discount...... its just a few bucks for each pc of baby jumper suit.. omg... eh.. i not pregnant.. dun think too much.. i buying for frd ok!


Then as instructed, i went carters and buy some newborn baby clothes.... beri cheap, the one on the right, 5 sets of jumper oni USD16!!!! carter leh! in sg... i think SGD100? nv buy in sg before.. dunno... anyway.. the baby clothes so small.. i think baby outgrow beri fast so i act smart buy 3 to 6mths clothing (left of pic)... after seeing too many enormous babies here.. heheee


tats wad i bought for myself.. a CK tee.... i like! :) and its cheap cheap!!!!


And a guess shorts... oso cheap cheap!!!! really love the discounts!!!


tats all.. i oni bought 2 for myself... i so guai.... wanted to buy a bball for monkey cuz Nike selling at USD7 oni!!!! but monkey dun wan Nike.. then too bad lor... haha..

OH!!!! THERE IS A HAPPENING STORY!!!
we were lunching at the food court then lily said wanna go feed aerith... then when jm and me looked out, we saw lily carrying aerith toking to fire fighters. pengz! wad happened?!?!!

omg.. she is the one calling 911!!!! cuz she saw 1 pregnant lady fainted in the ladies, no one bothers and she got worried cuz its 2 lifes u noe... then kind lily called the magical number... hmm... here is 911 hor.. not 999... and they come like 2mins!!! and is literally 2mins! jm and me is shocked at their speed... so fast!

wa liao.. and the fire fighters... all so MACHO and tall build and its everyone of them!!! so fit and hor... handsome.. hehee... like all run out from hollywood one.. haha...not i fantasizing abt the hunkies la.. but they really took pride in their work as life savers so they really keep themselves real fit... unlike erm.... ok nvm.. hope i dun faint in sg toilet...

after shopping.. and starved, the whole lot of gang come to my house for dinner. no, monkey is not fixing dinner at home. so we cooked ourselves la. he helped us baby sit Aerith aka alibu. hahaa

wad a day full of shopping and shopping. we spend 6hrs at anthem but haven even completed half of the mall.... hmm.. hahaa.... and so happening to see "hollywood" scene.... lets hope the pregnant lady is fine....

Vday 2009

VDay is a commercial festive. and its an Ang Moh's festive. In an Ang moh country, so many lovers ard... i not KS enuff to go restaurants to queue.. cuz i m sooooo used to big restaurants with plenty of tables for me to choose here.....(like tat go back sg how ar?)

monkey still yaya papaya say wan to bring me go eat joes' crab shack. by the time he come back from his half day of work and finish napping and me waking up, i tell him, i scare i starved to death cuz i highly suspect joes' crab shack (in town) will b packed with lovers......



so we get dressed and decided to eat our "breakfast" at the neighbourhood restaurants..



was feeling abit pek chek when i wake up and saw my grey jacket covering my desktop's keyboard.... stupid monkey buai song me wake up so late is it? i swept my jacket off the keyboard and realised the hidden bouquet and Godiva chocs.... hmm....... my monkey is not too woody afterall! :) hahaaa :P




Enuff loving moments, we are HUNGRY and FAMISHED. so we chiong to Black Angus. The carpark is full (here carpark seldom full one), shocked. then go Macaroni's Grill and Fish House. Same situation. asked the waitress how long do we have to wait.. its 1hr!!!!!! siao....haiz.... hungry la....

then we decided to go takamatsu. hoping nobody there since its more ulu. but on the way, we saw village inn. hahaaa... carpark empty..... chiong in la!!! HUNGRY LIAO!!!!!

had a simple meal...took a simple pic in the restaurant... wierd to say... i think the young couples all go flood the more happening restuarants i mentioned earlier... those who came Village inn to celebrate vDay are old couples... haha.. wadever la...



after dinner, which is oni 8pm, we decided to go for a movie. when reached the cinema... hmm... CARPARK FULL. then the queue is till outside one.. in the cold somemore.. crazy..... so we gave up. u noe... we are lazy and spoilt.. hahaa



then ended up taking pics of each other at home. yes, the ralph lauren polo tee tat monkey is wearing is wad i bought for him (combined anniversary and vday gift)... hehee.. he so happy...




The red top, i actually meant to wear for CNY... but hor... hmm... i got many other clothings not worn yet.... red is easy la... CNY, NDP and Xmas... haha

monkey said he will bring me to better restaurents when Vday and the crowd is over... when ar?

Exercise!

First when i came.. i was a little engaged with the free yoga lessons at base.. but then grew lazy and drifted way from this activity cuz the classes are early in the morning... and i sleep alot in the morning... haha.. other than wake up early with not enuff sleep and go yoga to relax, i rather relax and sleep better in my own comfy bed... haha

then pple start to sai-ko me to do something... hahaa...

Ok.... jm jio me go gym, but no one confirms the time.. so i slept and slept till she back from gym... then lily jio us all go swimming... ok... better go.. else jm kills me...

finally got out of my jail and walked to our apt's swimming poor and dip in(yes, during winter time but that day not beri cold)... nice...

alibu: mummy, can u take the pic faster cuz this fair and fat aunty doesn't seems to noe how to swim with a baby on hand.

Us: swim till sunset. or play with water till sunset. hahaa

after swimming, its getting cold as the sun sets... so we dipped into the jaccuzi pool beside... hot hot hot... i soak till think i almost boil then realised i need to rush home and cook dinner... was too engrossed chit chatting la.. hengz though i reach home at 6pm, i faster bake wadever wings and cook wadever rice and bath when the food is cooking (i prepare before i go, smart right?), when i finish bathing and wash away the chlorine smell on my body, the food oso ready, monkey just came back at 7.

i m getting more and more domestic..... haha

following nx few wks after the swimming event... went gym with jm twice to "run" on threadmill... she power la... i start slowly to let my body adapt... well...."run" 30mins oni burn 100+cal... hmm..... i must eat lesser....

hope nx few wks oso got motivation to go gym.. else no slim down how to take pretty wedding pics and my fav zi-pai pics?

First ROM Anniversary

Sorry for the belated post... and ever since my previous posts of CNY... everytime i log in my blog always irritated by the noisy dong dong chiang CNY song.. haha...

ya, 02 Feb is our ROM anniversary. Its our 1st ROM anniversary. so fast. dun really have much plans. let him do the planning la.
(oh, in case u are wondering how come got ROM anniversary blog but where is the ROM day blog... i will blog it when i free free and not lazy... alot of pics and story to arrange leh, blogspot not beri friendly u noe...haha)

woke up on the sun (here sun 1 feb, sg already mon 2 feb), dress up go kai kai... to where? to reb lobster again.....



I think my cholestrol going to burst if i continue my endless feast of seafood... so ... i choosed fish instead.... like the menu tat states the date... hahaaaa beri significant...



Yeah.. 1st time go Reb Lobster nv order Lobster.... too fattening... so i ordered fish.. but then.. its with cheese.. well done.. hmm... my tummy... hmm....



monkey ate seafood! can la.. he still thin....



after eating like soup, salad, main dish, the waitress will always make it a point to ask us if we wanna have dessert.... my stomach got space meh?

my nice nice combination of new dress (bought and brought from sg last yr).. beri snow white alike hor? hahaaa


Then we went home and catched a movie at the neighbourhood called "Bride Wars". funny..... the vera wang gown oso beri nice... but they said "Nv alter a vera wang gown to fit u and u alter urself to fit into a vera wang.." biangz.. i noe its exp and classy and well known for its brand... but hor... erm... like tat bride really xin ku leh.. unless oni a pack of bones then i got nothing to say.. but we all live in a food paradise.... hmm....

It was quite a dull celebration.... but we have "part 2" ... hahaa... i already booked a photoshot at base at a beri low price of USD12.95 ... then we go nx sat for the photoshooting....

ang mohs really beri funny....despite our efforts of rebonding to make our hair straight and flat, they like volume VOLUME VOLUME!... so tats how i looked after their makeover... i already combed flat alot before taking this pic... dun wanna let u all see my exposive volume hair.. haha


after dining at Popeye's chicken (ya, i noe, in sg oni changi airport have, here at base already have and we eat until sian liao), we went BX to shop shop cuz monkey said he will buy ONE thing tat i choosed from BX as our ROM gift....

but i browse their coach selections.. i didn't fall for any... so i told him to buy me this instead. actually i already bought this my own previously at BX.... so he just pay me lor..... this op sabrina is currently out of stock from Coach's Boutique cuz its limited edition.. see i so smart! hahaa... but BX sells the original thing as such low price... eBay already bidding till over USD300 and still got lotsa buyer.... so anyway... i AM KEEPING IT! the more i see the more i like... its trendy and sophicated enuff.. easy to match with clothes and wun go out of fashion.. and i like limited edition.. haha.. did i tell u how much it cost? less than USD220 lor!!!! my LV can buy 2 of it?

then we went strolling in a community park.. i dunno why so lormantic but since got time ma... and hor... dun see this pic like beri steady.. its actually beri cold.. going to rain soon and my jacket is in the car... (me in my bdae pressie of Ralph Lauren Polo tee from monkey last yr)


Now i noe why he bring me to the park to pat-tor... cuz he wanna play bball!!!! he just tok to the ang moh teenage and they started playing... pengz.... leaving me sitting at the bench beside the bball court waiting for the rain to come... pengz pengz pengz... not lormantic liao.. haha



Oh.... one of the reasons for my this belated post is becuz i wanna wait for the pic to be developed... this huge 13 x 10 pic.... hengz, not alot of explosive hair...

did i complain abt the so called costume? when we reached, they gave me a bra top (singlet) and said tats to wear underneath their costume. i was thinking, their costume must be really exp and fanciful until need to protect.. good... then when i came out after changing, the photographer asked me wad color i like... i just blurted out pink.... and she gave me a string of Pink Feathers to coil ard my shoulders! tats all! tats the "costume"! pengz! shd have wore my own Ralph Lauren instead... at least the pony logo is more sophicated than then mamasan feathers!
